A new advertising strategy that has been popular as of late is advertising and promoting using car magnet signs. There are many ways to go about advertising your business or product such as posters, newspaper article, flags, banners, and etc. but car magnets amongst all these options is probably the most effective because you are advertising on a moving vehicle which will increase the amount of viewers you get. The thing with car magnets is that you should always go with the cheaper option since they last a very long time especially when they are well taken care of. By taking proper precautions and care you can increase the life of your car magnet and they can last for many years.

Before you put your car magnet to use, be sure to clean the surface of the side that adheres to your vehicle. Clean and dry off the surface of your car with a soft cloth to give a better grip for the magnet. This will allow the magnet to stay on even when there are high winds on your travels. In colder weather, car magnet can become very stiff and lose its grip. To avoid this issue, be sure to post car magnets on the flattest surface of the vehicle and start with one corner and let the magnet’s pull stick the rest on. Magnets that are placed on a flat surface will ensure no air pockets which will increase the magnets grip and ensure optimal longevity of the magnet. Keep in mind to not stretch or pull on the magnet as the edges can peel and get damaged.

Applying the magnet to your vehicle properly is a crucial step in preserving the condition of your magnet. The surface that the magnet is applied to must be clean and free of any dust or rocks that can damage the appearance of the magnet overall. Be sure that there is no protruding edges, ridges and debris that will cause the magnet to fall off. Also, during the application process do not bend the magnet in anyway as it will damage the printing on the magnet and cause the corners to crease and peel.

To ensure durability and preserve your car magnets:

  1. Clean car magnets and surface of vehicle before application.
  2. Magnets must be dry before application.
  3. When not in use, be sure to keep magnet in a dry place to increase magnet’s longevity.
  4. Try not to place car magnet directly facing sunlight to prevent fading and peeling.

We advise separating magnets as individual magnet fields can often interfere with each other. Your best option would be to stick them on opposite sides of your vehicle and stay away from other metallic surfaces like silver, nickel, copper, and etc.
